I created Thailand Stay Guide because Thailand is a fascinating country, but planning a visit can quickly become overwhelming. There are thousands of hotels, countless destinations and an endless stream of conflicting advice online. My aim is to make things simpler.

I want Thailand Stay Guide to be a friendly, practical place where travellers can find honest hotel reviews, useful destination guides and straightforward advice before booking their trip.

Why I Created Thailand Stay Guide

My inspiration came from my own interest in Thailand and the amount of time I have spent researching its hotels, destinations and different travel experiences.

Thailand offers an incredible variety of places to visit.

You can explore Bangkok’s busy streets and historic temples, enjoy Pattaya’s entertainment and nightlife, relax on Phuket’s beaches or discover the islands, mountains and quieter towns beyond the best-known resorts.

The challenge is knowing which destination, neighbourhood or hotel is right for you.

A hotel that is perfect for someone wanting to be close to nightlife may be completely wrong for a traveller searching for a peaceful beach holiday.

A cheap room is not necessarily good value, and a more expensive hotel is not always the best option.

That is why I try to look beyond photographs and star ratings.

I focus on the details that can genuinely affect your stay, including location, nearby attractions, transport, noise, facilities, room quality and overall value for money.

My Approach to Hotel Reviews

When reviewing a hotel, I consider much more than its advertised facilities.

Location is often one of the most important factors. I look at what is nearby, how easy the hotel is to reach, whether the area is likely to be noisy and what type of traveller will enjoy staying there.

I also consider room comfort, cleanliness, facilities, service, value for money and any drawbacks worth knowing before you book.

My goal is not simply to tell you that a hotel is “good” or “bad”.

It is to help you understand who the hotel is best suited to and whether it matches the type of Thailand trip you are planning.
